Volunteers are the backbone of NZAVS, they are the reason why we can make any positive change for animals and they give us the strength and power that we need to eventually end vivisection in NZ. Whether you can volunteer a little or a lot we would love to hear from you.
We have volunteer coordinators all around NZ. If the city you live in doesn’t have a coordinator yet, don’t worry. Events can still happen in your area. As long as you are in our volunteer database, you will be invited to anything near you. You may also choose to organise your own events, such as a petition or info stall or you may like to run a fundraiser for us — Sign up today!

Fundraising:
Our volunteers find many creative ways of fundraising for us! Since we don’t receive any government funding, we rely solely on the generosity of our supporters and their donations.
We’ve had volunteers organise social events with ticket sales raising money for us. For example, our awesome Whangarei Volunteer Coordinators, Kayla and Karl, organised a vegan ball to raise money for NZAVS. Other volunteers have sold things on our behalf like Trade Aid chocolate! Many of our volunteers also encourage their friends and family to join up as a member or to donate to NZAVS as well.
If you have a fundraising idea, get in touch and we can make it happen!
