NZAVS Announces Upcoming Children’s Book!
The team at NZAVS were so inspired by the story of our ex-lab rats Archie and Monty that we want to share it with the world!
We have teamed up with local artist Rebecca Gibbs to create an entertaining, funny, engaging storybook that introduces children to the scientific invalidity of animal-based research. The Six-Foot Rats tells the story of two lab rats who come to the realisation that they are being used to find treatments for humans – not for Six-Foot Rats!
NZAVS is so excited about this, and we want to share our excitement with you! We have a unique opportunity for your name to be featured in our book; NZAVS are looking for individuals and organisations to sponsor the book and help us get it published!
Children are the future of Aotearoa New Zealand, and we think that New Zealanders deserve the most predictive, applicable treatments. We also believe that animals deserve to live outside of laboratories. Compassion and kindness are important values to impart to young kids, and we believe the Six-Foot Rats encourages children to treat animals with empathy.
This amusing story with its vibrant illustrations will be a hit with children of all ages (and maybe some of us adult kids as well!) — you can find out more about the book, and how to get your name, or the name of your child or business printed in this wonderful book here!
