NZAVS collaborates with CoGo to help you shop with your values

We've already got our very own Cruelty Free Guide that you can use to find out which brands and products are genuinely cruelty-free but in addition to this, our friends at CoGo have developed a free app that you can use to:

  1. Make sure the products you buy align with your values (i.e., that the products you buy are cruelty-free).
  2. Find like-minded businesses that you can support (i.e., that the companies you purchase products from aren’t affiliated with animal testing).
  3. Track your carbon footprint - the carbon emissions that are created by your consumption and lifestyle choices. This represents your personal contribution to the polluting gases that cause climate change, so this is a great tool for people trying to decrease their negative impact on the environment.

Download the app for free here.

After downloading the app, you will need to securely connect your bank debit or credit card account(s) using open banking. This secure technology is powered by Westpac NZ, however, you can connect with all the five major NZ banks.

You’ll then be able to use the app to see your personalised carbon footprint in real-time since it’s linked directly to your spending transactions and lifestyle choices.

You can also use the app to specify the issues you care about, for example, animal testing and veganism. Then the app will provide you with a list of companies you can support that also care about the sam

NZAVS’ Involvement

All of the companies listed in our Cruelty Free Guide are certified as cruelty-free in the CoGo app.

This means that a company can be certified as being cruelty-free on the CoGo app, by meeting our strict criteria.

Make sure that the way your shopping aligns with your values and download the free CoGo app today.
