The end of the financial year (31st March 2022) is fast approaching which means it’s nearly time for you to get your donation receipts in order for tax purposes.
What you need to do:
NZAVS has been a registered charity since the 19th of April 2021, which means that you are eligible to claim back tax on donations made since then (donations that were $5 or more).
Our General Manager, Georgette Singer will be working hard from the 1st April 2022 to send ALL receipts to those who have donated this past year (this includes our regular givers). Please be patient while we work our way through this large task, and please also check back in your emails for receipts you have been sent individually, before emailing us for a duplicate of these receipts.
To claim back on your donations, you will need to submit an application with the IRD. They have information on their website to help guide you through the process of submitting a donation receipt.
