NZAVS aims to work collaboratively with members of the animal science and research community wherever possible.
Researchers and other members of this community can directly help drive a paradigm shift towards animal-free research, testing and teaching methods. Together, we can fast-track progress for animals, people, and science.
Our collaborative approach has already taught us that there is a genuine, shared desire to see progress in areas such as:
- The availability of funding for using and developing animal-free methods in NZ.
- Phasing out the requirements for animal testing in NZ law.
- Phasing out the use of animals for science as technology permits.
