Lisa is a Senior Legal Adviser with the University of Auckland. She is also a a former joint owner and manager of 22-acre lifestyle farm/animal sanctuary for seven years, caring for a range of farm and domestic animals.

Founder and Trustee of the New Zealand Hen Welfare Trust, Lisa is regular volunteer at animal sanctuaries and animal rescue organisations, both nationally and internationally, including native bird rehabilitation and commercial hen rescue, socialising young and mature dogs and fostering kittens and feline families.

And she’s a member of the New Zealand Animal Law Association, member of the New Zealand Vegan Society and secretary of the Committee of the Alliance Francaise Auckland from 2014 to 2018.
